How the count is rounded
Guest tables = round up ((total people − people at the sweetheart or head table) ÷ seats per guest table).
Add the sweetheart or head table to get the physical table count. This example assumes everyone at the special table fits at one table.
This count has no room dimensions, table footprints, or aisle layout. It cannot say whether the tables fit the room. Confirm the arrangement with the venue before treating it as a room plan.
An even headcount can still split a party
One even distribution of the 148 guest-table people is 15 tables of 8 and 4 tables of 7. That is only a headcount pattern.
