What actually goes viral
Of 11,859 wedding posts, only 44 were really about colour — and two of them carry 47,000 saves between them. Everything else that looks like a palette is a photograph with a colour name in the caption.
What colours are wedding couples actually using?
Champagne, ivory and gold are the baseline — they appear in every theme. What separates one wedding from another is the accent: burgundy runs on wine, sage pairs with dusty rose, coastal runs navy with pink, and garden goes blush against burgundy and terracotta. We measured that across 11,859 wedding posts on TikTok, then generated a hex list for each theme.
Put the colours on the tables
A palette is the easy half. The hard half is table numbers, escort cards, and a seating chart that survives 150 guests.
How were these palettes chosen?
From 13,602 posts with captions, hashtags and save counts. 11,859 mentioned a wedding. We counted which colour names each theme over-uses compared with the whole corpus — that lift is what makes a theme a theme instead of champagne again.
Where do the hex codes come from?
The posts name their colours in words; almost none print swatch cards. Each measured colour name maps to one canonical hex so the palette stays stable, printable and shareable.
Can I get a different version of a palette?
Yes. Every theme page carries three variants generated around its anchor colour by the Sanzo sampler — the same engine behind the colour picker, which samples instead of maximising a score.
