How many people sit around a 60 inch table

A 60-inch round seats eight; the rectangular alternative in the same footprint seats six along one side and six along the other. That is the whole difference between the two rows below — the same floor area holding eight or twelve — and it is why the shape question is a count question first. The table size chart has every size on it.

What these two rows mean

Both rows count the same 24 people. The difference between them is the capacity the venue confirmed for each shape, not a rule that a round seats more than a long table. Seats per rented table is where the physical size is listed; this page only does the arithmetic on top of it.
