Seat Everyone vs Folia
Folia is a planning platform with a seating chart attached. Budget, vendors, and meal choices are the main event; the seating chart is a paid, desktop-only drag-and-drop canvas. You still have to place every table, assign every seat, and redraw it when one reply changes. We take the list and the rules you actually have, seat the room, and change the chart when replies move. $49 once per wedding · no subscription · 7-day refund. Folia wins the all-in-one plan; we win the seating.
The 2am problem
You have the guest list. What you do not have is the chart. Who has to sit together, who cannot be near whom, which plus-one just said yes, which table is now over — and why the version you have already redone is wrong again.
Most tools give you a blank floor plan, a guest list, or an AI first draft. You still have to make it right. We do not. You hand over the list and the rules; the finished chart comes back. When a reply changes, the chart changes with it, and you do not start over.

What that means for your week
A first draft is easy. The fifth chart is the job.
- You stop moving names by hand. The chart starts from your whole list, not from a blank canvas you have to fill yourself.
- You do not start over when one person says yes. A new plus-one or a new “these two cannot sit together” changes the chart. The rest stays put.
- The rules you actually have are not suggestions. Who has to sit together, who cannot be near whom, couples and families staying whole, tables that do not overflow. Those are checked before the chart is finished. It has also been tested on the ugly version: split families, keep-aparts, plus-ones, giant family blocks, rooms with no spare seats, and changes the week of.
- You pay once, not monthly. $49 for this wedding, every name on the paid chart, a printable floorplan, and as many reseats as the list needs.
The decision
Seat Everyone is for
you do not want to place every table and every seat by hand, especially on a laptop-only tool.
About 10 minutes. Software, not a waitlist — your chart tonight.
Folia is for
you want budget, vendors, and meal selections in one planner, and you are willing to place every table and every seat yourself.
Does Folia automatically seat the room?
No. Folia's docs describe dragging tables and assigning guests to individual seats. No automatic seating is described. The seating chart is also desktop-only.
Is Folia cheaper than Seat Everyone?
Folia's guest list is free; the seating chart is behind Pro. Folia lists $11.99/month, $89/year, or $129 for two years. Seat Everyone is $49 once for this wedding. Folia's subscription buys budget, vendors, meals, and a manual seating canvas. If you need the whole planner, you are buying the whole planner. If you need the seating handled, you are paying a subscription for a feature we do automatically. $49 once per wedding · no subscription · 7-day refund.
Can I import my Folia guest list?
If Folia exports a CSV, import it. Otherwise paste names. We read names, parties, and plus-one markers. We do not have a Folia integration.
Does Seat Everyone handle meal choices?
No. Folia shows meal selections on its seating canvas; we do not collect meal choices. Keep those in Folia or with your caterer.
Which should I choose?
Choose Folia if you want one subscription for budget, vendors, meals, and a manual seating canvas. Choose Seat Everyone if you want the seating handled and a one-time price.
